Janet Meiklejohn Joins Renaissance BioScience Corp. as Chief Financial Officer

Vancouver, Canada — June 11, 2018 — Renaissance BioScience Corp., a leading global yeast technology company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Janet Meiklejohn as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ms. Meiklejohn brings to the position extensive and wide-ranging experience at the executive level in capital markets, finance and business development. Ms Meiklejohn will replace company co-founder Maurice Boucher, who has held the CFO position since company inception. Mr. Boucher will shift his priorities within Renaissance to concentrate on and expand his duties as Executive Chairman.

Ms. Meiklejohn brings more than 20 years of capital markets experience at a number of financial institutions including Macquarie Canada, National Bank and Desjardins Securities advising institutional investors on their portfolio investments and raising capital for companies in both the public and private markets. Most recently, she was interim CFO and VP Corporate Development at Qu Biologics, a private biotech company. While serving in this role, Ms. Meiklejohn managed all aspects of financial planning and analysis, and worked closely with the company’s executive team and Board of Directors to help guide strategy, organizational structure, strategic partnerships and other matters. Ms. Meiklejohn began her career as a CPA at Ernst & Young. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Paul Hill School of Business at the University of Regina and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
